This coloured pencil portrait was created on 140lb rough watercolour paper, keeping the image textured and light in tone.  Soft drawing pencils were used to overlay colours, which were subsequently burnished using small pads of tissue.  Highlights were created by using sharp cut edges from a plastic eraser to remove key sections of the drawing.
