An acrylic painting on canvas produced at the studio by one of my teenage students. Firstly, the drawing was planned out and then transferred onto the canvas. Next, the boat was blocked out in yellow and the sunset and river painted in and blended. The attention was then paid to the boat, which was highly decorative including scripted bill boarding, with an equally detailed reflection. A jetty disappearing into the river was added and a misty horizon created. Finally, the canvas was framed by the addition of an overhanging tree to give the painting perspective.
