A watercolour portrait using wet in wet to create soft focus.  Masking fluid was also used to imitate the patterning on the leaves and strong washes of paint were applied to the background to which was added salt to create a granulated effect.  This painting was displayed in the Beecroft Gallery in Southend-on-Sea and sold during the exhibition.
