This pastel was produced for entry into a local exhibition.  Indigo coloured linear textured paper was used to give an effect sympathetic to the movement in the sea.  Soft pastel sticks were mainly used except for the final finer details which were added using pastel pencils.  This portrait was purchased while I was exhibiting my work at a local library.
