Another commissioned portrait of a Border Terrier from supplied photographic reference.  The soft pastels used were; Inscribe and Daler Rowney, with details added using pastel pencils. The image was produced on Sennelier pastel card in the colour ‘dark bluish grey’. I blocked out and blended the background in a range of blended whites, pale blues and mauve shades.

That’s fantastic Jane. You have captured her exactly right! Her nose is amazing – it looks as though you could touch it and get a wet finger. You really are a talented lady! X
