With the assistance of Leigh-on-Sea Town Council and renowned local artist Kerry Doyland the Leigh-on-Sea branch of the Royal British Legion are creating a poppy art trail in and around Leigh during Remembrance tide, in November, as part of the Branch’s efforts to commemorate this year’s Centenary of the Royal British Legion.
Artists’ completed poppies will be displayed throughout Leigh, in Leigh Gardens, Leigh Community Centre and local shops on the lead up to Remembrance Sunday, being the 14th November 2021.
My chosen design was painted on one of the large poppy templates, I also made a contribution to the Royal British Legion.
