Originally started in November 2019 as a demonstration for the members of Southend Art Club, at the Beecroft Art Gallery.

The initial construction and blocking out was completed in Inscribe pastel sticks before progressing onto soft pastels, using both Sennelier and Unison brands. This study was completed on Sennelier pastel board, which has a textured surface similar to sandpaper, the colour chosen was sand.
