I began this pastel  portrait while demonstrating at the Hobbycraft store in Basildon, Essex.  The majority of the work was completed using hard block pastels on a charcoal coloured pastel board, the final highlights were added with soft white handmade pastel.  I chose a black velvet mount and an antique gold frame to enhance the rich tones of the tiger’s coat.
